Week 8

This week, which is our eight week during this project, we have tried to get communication from each but we can't get any responds back from each other. I suppose its simply because we have Caller Id and it shows as an unknown number each time they call. We hopefully will agree on a day we can actually do this. I have to also buy myself materials and footwear for this video, and also feel comfortable while doing this of course. I've been seeing a lot of workouts video as well as websites about the benefits about working out which is really healthy for the mind and to relief stress and bring down the risk of Alzheimer's in life. There's so many benefits in having a healthy life by just exercising all the time.

Week 7

Today we had to presented a presentation on what our project is about in our English class. In the presentation me and my two group members explained about the progress we have accomplished and what we are doing later on in our project. The presentation lasted around two minutes which was the limit of the time for each. We planned in doing the recording during Thanksgiving Break, which will help out a lot instead of days when we have school and so much homework to do that will overwhelm us. We all were nervous throughout the presentation, cause well stage fright... but we did after all get it over with and it turned out okay I'm supposing and hopefully a good score! Well hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! (:

Week 6

In our sixth week in our 20% project, We also have planned  that on a the Thanksgiving Break which is November 25-29 will be dedicate a day or two to finish that recording of the video. Monica in our group has a camera already that we can record and use instead of buying a brand new one. We could also use Winter Break as a week or more to shoot and finish this. This will benefit us by using breaks as a opportunity to record instead of planning a day of the week when everyone else has plans or can't attend because of homework or obligations they need to do.

Week 5


On this 5th week, we finally concluded on the day we probably will be shooting this video. We have everything planned out and the way to shoot this and the moves. It would be easy, but at the same time hard since we need to make everything work out and time is running. Now that we ended daylight savings time and the day gets darker after four o'clock its going to be tough to know when we can actually do something .. I don't think our parents would let us go out when its hard outside and there can be people wandering around at the time. We will take cautious in case something does happen, I just hope it does not happen at all. Wish us good-luck! (:

Week 4

In our 4th week planning our 20% project project, we have been blogging and deciding for a day we can actually shoot the video. Everyone in the group have been busy throughout the weeks and we haven't had the day to choose to meet up and actually plan everything. One of our group member has to attend church and another has to ask permission from her mother, and me .. well I am available every weekend. I'm saving up money to buy comfortable clothes to wear and any equipment that will be necessary. I've been stressing out lately since we have to get shooting this video as soon as possible while the months and time pass quick and just thoughts have been discussed, but no movement yet. I hope we get going on this project and finish it as soon as possible. (:

Week 3

The third week into our 20% project, ideas are still pending and lots of lots of stress! My two other group members are still researching and thinking how exactly to put this video and steps together in one. It's hard to think how we should manage these workouts, and how to make them really simple to anyone anywhere. We're thinking of shooting this video at the Boys & Girls Club located in Fullerton, since they have a dance studio we can use without no cost. There we can warm up and practice our steps and probably practice to do a small choreography in dance lessons in the end. They will be easy to learn and know, as well as the workouts. We will also be using a local park's track to do running tips and to show stretching before running a lap or mile which would be useful to not get cramps and pain in the lower and upper calf.

Week 2

Our second week working on our 20% project we've been thinking and researching workouts that will benefit people who are non-active and also how to flatten your belly and running tips for people. We will record each step and try to make the best out of this video tape for simple workouts. We would be using equipment throughout this video workout , such as exercise mats, fitness ball, jumping ropes, weights and a camera. We will be wearing workout clothes such as running shoes, running shorts, and a shirt , these will help us feel more comfortable with recording and demonstrating the tips and workouts. Week 1

Week 1, In my 20% project I am doing for my English class, in Savanna High School in Anaheim, CA , Me and two other classmates that are working together decided to volunteer at the CHOC hospital and raise money to buy the children there gifts for the holidays. After I emailed the volunteer person in charge, I found out that you had to 16 and over to volunteer. Since we are all 15 our original plan would no longer work. Now we are debating whether we want to do something involving dance and easy to do workouts. We have an idea in mind to do simple stretching and warming up workouts for people that are not active.
